Will, Magnus, and Declan accept her past. Nikola wants to use it. Druitt relies on it. Kate's used to them and Steve and Danny, by now, but Savannah's totally different. It's not even like she's accepting that it happened. It's like she just likes Kate and the stealing and smuggling happened and they're okay.
"I guess it depends," Kate tells her. "My dad was cracking safes when my mom got pregnant. So maybe I was a thief before I was even born." She shrugs and smiles, as she slips off the arm of the couch into the cushions. "But I took kind of a break until I was fourteen. So, twelve years, give or take?"
