"Hi," Finnick replies, lifting his own hand in a wave as he looks down at the little boy awkwardly.

It's of course not the first time Finnick's seen a small child. It isn't even the first time he's seen one here, but it feels different now. In only a few months he's going to have one of his own, one that hopefully has Annie's eyes and strength.

"Well, he seems like pretty good company," Finnick says with a soft smile as he grabs a glass from the cupboard. "But can he say the same for you?"
