"Yeah." It's quiet, almost subvocal. Kate shrugs her way through a trip into the 'larder' or whatever the hell it's called to get some butter and cheese for the sandwiches.
When she comes back out, she finds the voice to say, "I hope he doesn't. For his sake. He'll never be happy here. It's not...there's just nothing for him here. He and I aren't...we're not like you and Annie. I wouldn't want him to come back here for me. No matter how much I miss him."
