"Thank you." William is one of the most polite kids Kate's ever known, and Kate figures that has to be Sam's military influence. He nods at Finnick and sets the plate aside for the sandwich to cool while he finishes 'reading' his book.

Kate grins and gives the kid a thumbs up and as Finnick isn't looking, William thumbs ups back at her. He probably doesn't know why he's doing it, but it's cute anyway.

"It's a lot. Especially since it's not anything I've ever wanted. But it's okay. It just... you'll see. Having a kid around changes how you see yourself."
