"It's a difficult problem to have, but I'm surviving." He grins at her as he closes the door behind her, careful not to twist out of her grip. Her hand against his skin feels good, a welcome surprise tonight when he'd expected to be passing the time on his own.

"What's the occasion?" he asks, reaching for the wine with one hand and Kate with the other. "I mean, I like late night surprises and all, but..." His words trail off as he snakes one arm around her waist. "Just curious."

He was always too curious. It was what got him in trouble, half of the time.
