"I think that sounds like reason enough to me," Neal says, tugging her close. It wasn't like she didn't come over in the middle of the night anyway, it wasn't like they didn't slink in and out of one another's beds. She didn't need a reason to come over.

His fingers brush against hers as he reaches for the wine, more out of habit and curiosity than any real need to inspect what she's brought.
