He doesn't quite know what she's preparing to ask, and a part of him isn't sure if he needs to be cautious or overly concerned in any way, but the look on her face doesn't seem too worrying, and curiosity wins out over the rest.

"Sure," he replies, equally nonchalant, and at least she gives warning and asks before she comes right out and says it. He'll give her credit for that.
