Kate sighs and rolls her eyes. Auggie can't see them, but she knows he can hear her doing it or something. He's really good at reading her moods. It crosses her mind to wonder if he'd be as good at it if they hadn't fucked, but it's definitely not the time for that.

"He says he doesn't," Kate says and she's pretty damned proud that it comes out almost like she's trying to believe him. "But I saw him with her last night and he's got some stuff of hers." She frowns and tries to sort out what to say that won't set Auggie into a panic about Joan, because it's just not a cool thing to do to someone. "He and I have worked together before, and let's just say I'm not a fan of how he treats women."
