It takes a few beats for Kate to pull herself back from what she's seeing and feeling to follow where Phoebe's going with this story. When she gets to the end, Kate nods, maybe a little too emphatically. "Yeah. I love Declan, and I love being with him, but I can't even imagine getting married. I don't know about losing myself. It's just..." She shrugs and then spits out, "Tying myself down like that," because if you can't admit to one of your best galpals who just saw you almost die and find out you were engaged that forever seems more like a life sentence, who can you admit it to?
