He already knew Annie wasn't the only pregnant woman on the island, but it's still oddly comforting to be reminded. They're not the only ones going through this; babies have been born here before and are still doing fine, seem as happy and healthy as any back in the district.
And safe in a way they never could be there.
He hasn't really shared the news with anyone since finding out, but now seems as good a time as any, his lips twitching into a nervous smile as he says, "So you're designated babysitter, is that it? Good to know. Might prove useful."
