"Still hate this place." Kate's mouth twists, bitter, but she shrugs it off and puts a smile on it. A little smile, a little purr, "But it's looking better about now. You?" she asks, and part of her actually means it. Not just the polite thing to say, but she actually thought about him, after the powers went away. Whether it would suck.
