Kate watches until he goes inside. She knows roughly how long it will take him to decide that 'let yourself in' means 'get comfortable', and waits until he should be sitting down to set off the distance between the trees and her hut. A little anticipation, a little mystery. It's all good.
Instead of letting herself in, Kate adjusts the trenchcoat so there's no sign of the black dress beneath it just bare legs and black heels. Then she knocks.
She's not nervous, but her heart's definitely beating faster while she waits for him to get up and come to the door.
