He can't stand to see her hurt even if she asked for it and, at least, defending Will's got some merit. Mind, she could have done so with words and not fists but fists are Kate's way.

Understatement, considering the language. Declan doesn't normally curse outside of in bed with Kate but he's seething now. "Let me help you patch up, then? You could use it."
