"Should see it now," Kate manages between tense breaths. It's hard to watch this. Doing it's easy. In the moment, she always knows how it's going to roll. Always knows she'll do whatever she has to and the adrenaline flows, anger flows, need makes her hot and ready for anything that comes at them.
Her fingers curl and clench tight and Jim's hand on her shoulder's the only thing keeping her from getting up to pace while they search for Biggie. "Watching sucks." She barely gets it out before Biggie opens the vest and then she's gone from anger to fear again.
She stops him. She and Magnus stop him. They have to. They just do.
