For now, Kate shoves the reel in with the others and cops a squat on the arm of the couch. "It's kind of different when he's your best friend, too." She gestures to the empty screen. "Will, the one who was sitting there waiting for me to wake up, he's a shrink. A profiler. Like the best guy in the world, too."
Seeing him sitting there waiting for her to wake up like that stings. If something happened now, would he? They're trying and doing pretty good, but it's different.
She shrugs tightly. "I'm not big on talking, but Will's really good at helping me sort shit out. What sucks is, he's here, but I can't tell him about this and I really want to."
